|    My Great Lucid Dream    |

From: quasar1334@hotmail.com              Hi All,              This newsgroup is good. More power to you all! I posted this dream       here about a year ago. It's one of my most interesting lucid dreams.       I think it will fascinate you just like it did me. Read on.              This newsgroup is good. More power to you all!              Here's my lucid dream:              I was walking with two friends on a very high hill. Can't remember       where we were going.              There was a very deep ravine on one side of the hill. Something       happened to let me know that I was dreaming. Actually I saw an       out-of-place thing-----a bus stop shed----right there out in the       middle of nowhere.              I said to my friends: "this is ridiculous, there's no bus running       here!"              I walked on while musing, puzzled about the bus stop shed. Then the       realization hit me: I suddenly knew that I must be dreaming. But I was       still skeptical, because my environment seemed so absolutely real.              I turned to my friends and said to them: "guys do you know that right       now we're in a dream?"              They just scoffed and looked at me like I was some kind a loony. But I       kept pressing the point to them that there was no bus route running in       the area where we were and that the bus stop shed shouldn't be there.              I exclaimed to them over and over that we were in a dream, but all I       was doing was really trying to convince my own mind that I was in fact       dreaming (this I realize after I woke up).              I kept repeating over and over: "My god, this seems so real, but I       know it's a dream."              But I was assailed by grave doubts. The dream place was just too real.              Finally I said to my friends who were conversing among themselves: "       listen up guys, I know one way that I could prove to you that we are       in a dream. If I jump over the edge of this hill and fall headlong       down, and hit the bottom of the ravine and remain uninjured, that will       prove to you that this is a dream."              My friends looked at me like I had gone completely mad. And that was       when my doubts finally took full control of my mind.              I changed my mind and decided against attempting the feat. But even as       I kept on walking, I continued to mutter: "damn this feels so real,       but I know it's a dream." And my friends were just glancing at me like       I was crazy.              Just then I woke up. I slapped my leg and shouted: " damn, I knew it       was a dream!"              But it all seemed so funny I just started laughing.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
