You are the best interpreter of your own dreams.       Shoes can be a symbol of many things..       For me, if I were analyzing this dream as my own, I think I would see       shoes as a constraint imposed on me by the mechanical system around me.       That's what it would represent now anyway. I stay in the NYC area and       just got back from S. Africa where I could walk barefoot anywhere and       everywhere.. and I did. My feet always feel cramped in shoes if I'm not       doing much walking.. and if I am then they are nice until I stop.       So perhaps a symbol of journey and not having them would be myself       feeling that I am not prepared for a journey that maybe coming or that       I may be on already or that isn't coming because I have not decided to       prepare and manifest it myself.       As far as lucid dreaming goes with this, you can program yourself to       use this recurring dream event as a trigger.       Every time you think of where your shoes are, do a reality test.       Can be something simple. Usually I think of things like:       Where am I?       How did I get here?       Why did I come here?       What was the purpose of this?       Who am I with?       Is my visual focus feeling like I am awake or not?              You can always just program yourself to do this when you are awake and       then hopefully in your dream you will remember to do this.       I wouldn't make the RT anything you get tired of.. so if you pick one       question and start to get sick of it, change it or else in a dream I've       found myself skipping the RT because actually I'm sick of asking myself       that silly little question.. and so I miss that chance. Keeping the       question something that isn't annoying helps in this. The important thing       isn't so much *what* the question(s) is/are.. just that you make a point       to yourself of reminding yourself to look deeper into your current state       of mind and surroundings.              All the best,       -=[psyphiber]=-              cat |
