Short answer, no; the paralysis is a natural part of REM sleep...keeps
us from gettin' up and running around while dreaming. Next time it
happens, try to just relax and observe, knowinng that soon enough ( a
matter of minutes at max....seconds, more likely...) the paralyzing
neurochemicals will flush out of the system and you'll be bouncing up
to scramble up some eggs and snauzzz-i-juz! :)
   cheers
