   Lucid dreaming as child

I remember when I was a young child I used to have extremely vivid
lucid dreams whereby I'd just go to bed, put the blankets over my head
and almost immediately enter this alternative reality.

At the time I just took it for granted that I could do this - I didn't
think it was anything special at all. I'd enter a kind of Arthurian
world of Knights and Princesses where I'd have all kinds of
   adventures.

I kinda forgot about this until I was older, 12 or so, and since then
just kept laying the memory down so I could recall it later.

I've had many lucid dreams since and now I'm trying to become more
structured in my experiences (I'm 41 now).

I just wondered whether anyone else has had this youthful experience
   of lucid dreaming.
