   No one knows for sure; but Occams razor certainly supports the more   
   mundane explanation.   
      
   Ask your "entities" to tell you something you couldn't possibly know,   
   preferably something no one else in the world knows (for example the   
   orbital parameters of a planet we don't know about yet).

   The usual one is that you have somehow found yourself in a parallel   
   dimension, either one of the parallel universes required by the MWI of QM,   
   or one of the "astral planes" which conveniently exist to explain things   
   like this ;-)
