   I have been the target of some flame trolls lately, so I decided to post   
   a post a tutorial on blocking messages in Thunderbird based on the   
   sender. Here's how to somebody:   
      
   1. Select a message posted by the sender you want to block.   
   2. Go to the Message menu.   
   3. Click on Create Filter From Message.   
   4. Under Perform These Actions, change the drop-down box to Delete Message.   
   5. Click OK.   
      
   This will keep you from seeing new messages from that user, but old   
   messages will still be visible.
