   Yes, I have the same experience, sometimes even when I'm awake (while lying   
   down almost asleep, but in full control), but I'm not sure if I'm ready to   
   theories 'how' this happens,  there is something tto it.  Another test is   
   while in a very relaxed mood, you can wave your hands in front of your   
   closed eyes and sometimes instead of a normal shadow, you see a red or blue   
   out line of the hands.

   again, I totally agree!  But a word about the 'encouragement' part, IMHO I   
   would not want to encourage them to loose their rationality and reason   
   (which I have seen a bit with the 'new age' crowd).

   IMHO, these experiences are only a stepping stone, a proof of concept, on   
   the way to a larger understanding of our actual world.  If we start to   
   theories about these events right away, without real proof to ourselves (on   
   either side: psychic or scientific) then we might be in danger of closing   
   our minds to a more accurate explanation.
