   Yup, or at least occult in nature.  I've got (or at least had) a screw-in   
   plastic (crooked) finger that one could just press and screw into a door, thus   
   creating a single hook for holding such a cape, so I'm wondering if your cape   
   was on a peg of some    
   sort OR simply being held up by some invisible force?  Either way, a black   
   cape doesn't bode well, unless one is in old England against the fog, or a   
   1950s cheerleader wearing a wool cloak for warmth (I've got one of those I use   
   as a vampire cape on    
   Hallowe'en, but it has a gold lining.)
