From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2019/12/06 Friday: Visiting the Ancient Egyptians?              So, last night, I went to bed meditating (or pondering) on how someone       mentioned Einstein likened "time" to "motion." Silly Einstein, "time" is more       accurately represented as "change." While some things (like rocks, for       example, or even lead) have very        little "motion," their atoms are moving internally, as well as breaking down       *very* slowly, so even when an atom is relatively "stable" its electrons are       still vibrating / orbiting within a respective shell, and *that* change is       considered "motion." At        any rate, I had this dream that was more like a vision being played out in       gold-ish yellow-ish lit shapes, something like black and white on a TV screen,       but using golden hues. The images were going by like a super-fast time-elapse       video, but what I        thought I saw looked a lot like foundations of buildings (temples, perhaps?       maybe Karnak?) being built from the ground up. This clip only lasted a second       or two so the location and time period are all mostly subjective. Meanwhile,       we all create "change"        when we are born, and thus have a certain amount of "time" we add to the       collective pot, as it were. Some of us create greater change, some less.        Some create greater change in a shorter amount of time, some less.              At any rate, another dream involved a box with contents, roughly a       larger-than-average shoe box, and the contents were not so much the concern as       was the box itself, as it was exceptionally shoddy and contained a tear along       one wall, making it "unfit" by        most people's standards, only I (the dreamer) was looking for a sufficient       strength bit of tape to fix / reinforce it as the dream ended.              In another dream, there was some type of decorative object not unlike a       standing lamp, roughly 3' tall, with an unusual base that was designed to hold       water for some reason. In handling, someone (there were at least two people       present in addition to the        dreamer's perspective) mishandled the lamp and I had the *impression* the base       bowl was broken, but the lamp could still stand on its own, and more       importantly, the base of the pole itself had a type of male computer chip       plug, similar to what one finds        on one of those SD Micro memory chips (google.com/search?q=sd+micro)— which       is still good, because it's plugged into some socket that displays a video       almost as if watching a live recreation. Some older men (like grizzled,       bearded, wizened old guys)        are gathered together apparently singing, possibly around a piano (there's       definitely a musical component to the scene) and I see the view pan by my own       (dearly departed) father, with the thought or perhaps expression that Mom       really should see this!              Researching (just now) the term for the chip-type I was looking for (SD Micro)       has somehow evaporated all the rest of the dreams, but I have one more hanging       around from near-before-waking:              I was in a setting much like someone's home, with the feeling that I was       someone's mate or love-interest, and the other people in the home were more       like "in-laws" rather than typical guests. At some point very near the start       of this scene, someone asks        for a cup of coffee, and it occurs to me (the dreamer) that (as at least one       of the hosts) it would be a good idea for me to get the coffee. Well, that       was perhaps a mistake, because as I find my way into the kitchen, looking for       a coffee maker, I        realize I really don't know where anything is, and the kitchen is in fact a       *very* much darker portion of the scene, located adjacent to the living room       area, but simply "darker." I found a light switch on a wall and flipped it       on, only to discover this        area looked as if it had sat around unpacked for ages, and trying to clear out       cabinets or even overhead bins was like sifting through decomposing trash       heaps. One area I cleared away was actually housed a nest of crawly insects.        There was no fear        involved here, only a slight disgust that this area had not been cleaned out,       and when one of the in-laws (a mother type, perhaps) came to check on what was       holding up the coffee, all I (the dreamer) could do was state that this was       the first I'd been        back here in this area (of the apartment?) and had no idea it was in such       shape.              This reminds me of another dream, perhaps a vision, but certainly only a       one-image-type scene, of someone who looked a LOT like me at a younger age,       and with glasses, making some type of comment of approval regarding the       turning on of a flashlight. The        focus was more on the glass covering (about 2", 3" max) of the light source       itself, as it was a typical flat, circular disc of the type found on older       flashlights (modern flashlights are typically pen-type LEDs) (Just like the       one in this picture, only        pointing to the right rather than the left) (i0.wp.com/t212media       com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Maglight-Flashlight-Thumbnail.jpg)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
