Hello Dick,   
        Well that makes two of us that has no "clue" about this clip.  I just   
   wish there was a little more to the clip.  I did think it was strange that   
   clothes were on a clothesline. Haven't see that since I was a kid.   My mother   
   use to hang clothes on    
   the line because we had no dryer.  In the winter time things would get pretty   
   stiff because they were frozen.  Brings back a lot of memories.
