   There is a line of thought that deals with such incidents by calling them   
   "astral combat"— where someone is attacking the dreamer in a very   
   close-fought battle, body against body.  I've had one or two myself where it   
   feels like one is "pushing away" a    
   magnetic copy of one's own soul.  I also know I've had at least two   
   (genetically documented) and perhaps 3 sons in real life, so whether there's a   
   connection there or not is unclear and certainly unproven, yet remains a   
   possibility.   
      
   Meanwhile, there is a *very unpleasant* condition a male dreamer may encounter   
   (I've never read of a female encountering this) where the dreamer *feels* a   
   male penetration from the rear.  This is considered to be the male's "sleeping   
   consciousness" or "   
   astral body" or "soul" or "dream spirit" (you name it) as it *floats above*   
   the male's *own* sleeping, physical body.   
      
   There *may* be an account *somewhere* in the searchable history of this group   
   where I reported on a dream much like an astral journey, where two gremlin or   
   goblin-type individuals were riding upon a broomstick, where I became the   
   dreamer perspective of    
   the creature riding in front, and as the broomstick traveled through the open   
   area of a chamber, I repeated myself, twice, saying:  "Get your dick outta my   
   asshole!" (no response, then with more force:) "I said, GET your DICK OUT of   
   my ASSHOLE!" and spun    
   around to confront whatever was behind me.  As I swung around (c   
   unter-clockwise) my right arm was extended downward and my left hand touched   
   (not quite a form of strike but along those lines) the EMHO (erection) of the   
   male who had been behind me.  The *   
   moment* my hand touched his "package", the dream popped just alike a bubble,   
   and I heard my own name "Richard" resonating in my (the dreamer's) mind.   
      
   Please keep in mind that, in the dream state, one may be either person A OR B,   
   regardless of which of those two persons one *normally* perceives oneself to   
   be in waking consciousness.  In other words, once upon a time, I experienced   
   my male form in the    
   conscious, astral dream vehicle of my girlfriend at that time.  THAT was a   
   TRIP!!!   
      
   As to how to *stop* such "attacks" (encounters) one may practice viewing   
   oneself as one's own worst enemy, then practice the concept of "Love thine   
   enemies."
