Note that a "slip" is typically like a pier       only with "covered" construction, like rows of open parking garages, with the       construction built        upon either barrels or LARGE blocks of Styrofoam. A dock is kinda like a       small gas station, where boats can pull up to the dock, get gas, groceries,       pay their monthly or yearly slip rental, etc.              > There are several of these platforms, two with buildings across a 30 ft       expanse of unpainted boards. There is dirty water under these with the sun       shinning down on semi rough water. There are lots of oriental people on these       platforms, like it is a        flea market where they are selling items, some on tables and some on the       platform.              Certainly gives me the impression of Chinese "junks"— they're like floating       cities of boats used to maintain what would otherwise be an urban population,       only on the water instead.              > I am standing at the end of a platform behind 5 or 6 doctors wearing white       masks and white coats.              Reminds me of Beijing (their air pollution is beyond catastrophic.)              > Every one seems scared and we are all looking for something. I see a canoe       about 12 inches long and walk over and pick it up. It is made of bamboo but       these orientals think it is a bomb and they are all afraid. We are all       feeling the fear. Next I        see a magenta knitted glove with pink strips, I also pick it up and hand it to       a lady that has the other one in a stack of for sale items. We are all       waiting for the bomb to explode when I wake up.       > Sandy$              OK, so this bit about a canoe made little-to-no sense, until I thought of the       historic trade agreement Trump JUST made with China. In other words, the       Chinese *culture* is about to experience the explosion of American trade. (The       canoe is a much older,        semi-Asian relative to the Chinese, as Native Americans are thought to have       crossed over from Russia / Asia on a land bridge thousands of years ago.        Thus, the canoe is of a more specific identification to them than would be an       eagle. Also, the eagle        has always been somewhat protected, whereas the European/American concept       somewhat "exploded" upon the Native Americans, just as it is about to explode       into China.              FYI, interesting side note: Trump *recently* became the FIRST national       representative to sell rice to China! The guy's a friggin' legend! :-)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
