From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2020/01/21 Tuesday:              A bit late to post, so there's considerable "evaporation" between what I can       remember and what get's written down (typed / entered here.)              There was something regarding a bit of preparation, such as is typical of a       group of youth on a field trip. Back in my actual youth, there was a week       during 6th grade where *most of* the 6th grade went on a week long trip to       "Land Between the Lakes."        This dream wasn't *exactly* of that event, but the sense of having to get       things ready, such as the packing of clothes, was involved. General clarity       was 5, perhaps 6, but evaporation has "lost" a significant part of the dream       activity.              In another dream, there was a kind of muddy lake. Note, I have rarely seen a       "muddy" lake in real life, with the possible exception of muddy rivers       following a heavy rainfall. Where I'm from, most lakes are either blue or       bordering on green due to        algae (Center Hill Lake has FAR better clarity, sometimes 5' down, compared to       Percy Priest, which is barely 2' if that much.) In this dream, the entire       lake is simply muddy brown. There is a kind of tree stump / trunk growing up       out and above the        water, and I'm "in" the tree, as someone who would be there from climbing, but       I have no real sense of how I got there. Now, there is the *possibility* that       I "flew" to the tree. In hindsight, it well could be that I wa some type of       bird and simply *       landed* there, but we'll get into that in a moment. I (the dreamer) had no       thought about being anything but myself at the time, and that my position in       the tree trunk was perhaps tenuous. (How did I get there? What was the point       of being there? *What        next*???)              At any rate, I felt my body weight pressing against a branch sticking up       before me, and sensing it was going to break, and sure enough, it did. I felt       myself plunge into the water, but was amazed at how buoyant I felt— I only       went in chest deep, and        did not get my head wet whatsoever. I did have a sort of sense that I       *wanted* to get my head under and give it a good washing, even though the       water was muddy. The odd thing about this dream is something OTHER than the       tree in the muddy lake, or        falling into it and being buoyant— the strange thing is that the sequence       occurred *twice,* like an instant replay. There was one other element,       however, at the end, resembling a bird that seemed an awful lot like a large,       white, angora type cat. I        saw the *name* of the bird, and saw it clearly, even remembered some of it       after waking, but here I am typing this up over 12 or more hours later, and I       can't recall what I saw at that time, other than it had a strange name,       somewhat Greek, that reminded        me a bit of the Cthulhu mythos of H. P. Lovecraft. Dream ended.              There was *one other* short clip, something that reminded me of a large glue       ball between my left forefinger and thumb.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
