From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2020/01/24 Thursday:              Dream before waking, interestingly enough, involved my sister and mother at a       restaurant. Funny thing is, I just replied to Sandy's question regarding the       photos taken of my mother and sister at a restaurant (from Mom's 90th       birthday.)              Only in the dream, there was discussion between someone (not seen) and my       sister, that seemed as if the waiter was discussing food with Marilyn, and Mom       wasn't actually a character in the dream, although she seemed present. I       awoke with some thought of "       how many meals" had Mom had over 90 years? Figuring roughly 3 per day at       365.25 days per year, that's 32872.5 days (plus 5 more) comes to 32877.5 days,       @ 3 meals per day = 98632.5 (plus today's breakfast) comes to 98633.5 meals.        Of course, that's only        approximate, as I'm sure there were some days where a meal *may* have been       skipped, or an extra snack taken.              At any rate, the dream *before* that one involved playing some kind of video       game that seemed to involve *tangible* people as the player-figures. It       seemed a bit like a kind of war game or combat video, but at the end, there       seemed to be two (then three)        subsequent videos, not quite like having an "extra life" but rather more like       having an extra *game* instead! There was this other fellow off to my right,       who seemed like a bit of a geezer who'd lived his entire life in an arcade,       and it seemed as if        he was trying to get his left hand on the control stick/device that was to my       right, but I slapped / brushed his hand away. Aside from that person, I was       attempting to get the attention of my gaming buddy from my high school years,       Dave, in order to        alert him that there were more games available. Now, whether or not the old       geezer is a contemporary "shell" of today's Dave or not is unknown. I suspect       this is a commentary on how I most likely would not recognize Dave today if I       met him on the        street, which is a bit unlikely, as last I checked up on him, he was in jail       serving a LONG sentence in Arizona.              A dream somewhere before (or possibly after) that one involved myself and my       son, Charles (at a preteen age) leaving one activity and headed towards a car       I used to drive, a brown, T-top, Datsun 280 ZX turbo. The problem was that we       were walking through        a very dark yard. Now here's the funny / odd part: As it was so dark, I was       walking with my eyes closed, traveling more on memory of where I'd parked the       car. I bumped into it, near the driver's side door, opened my eyes, and       called out to Charles        that I'd found it (he was nearby yet still a bit behind to my right.) I can't       recall where we'd been or what we'd been up to prior to hunting for the car.        Clarity 5, visually, maybe even a 4 or 3, but as far as mentally, it was a 7       or 8 *except* for        the missing sections of what was going on before or where we were headed after.              I guess that's all for now. I keep thinking there were more, but they're not       jumping back into memory at this moment.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
