From: dicksilk@gmail.com              Re: 2020/03/18 Wednesday: The phone call from...?              It seems I may have failed to note what may be the most interesting "wrong       number" (???) I've ever received. I *thought* I'd written about this, but I       can't find it, so I'm making this post *just in case.*              I *believe* this occurred Wednesday evening, after supper, just kicking back       and watching the evening electronic campfire (television) when the phone       rang. Due to the peculiarity of the phone itself, it works best when one       waits for at least 2½ (3)        rings before answering, otherwise it gets super-screwy. So the caller-ID       shows up, but is only a phone number, not a person's name or business per se,       and I answer it. I sometimes will say "Sheriff's Department, Fraud Division"       if I suspect a spam        caller is on the other end, but lately I've just been waiting a moment to       "sense" the other caller before saying anything (as there are so often       robocalls / bot recordings on the caller's end.)              After a slight pause, I answered, "Hello?"              "Is Gina there?"              "Who's calling, and why?"              "I'm so sorry |
