   I find your dreams to be *remarkably* life-like, almost as if someone were   
   describing an actual video clip of a real-life event.  I have noticed that   
   whenever a condition arises where there's an unknown outcome, the dreamer   
   typically awakens (in other    
   words, this happens to me as well.)  Basically, whenever "?" occurs, the   
   dreamer awakens.  Not always, but *usually.*  Decisiveness / decision also   
   indicates a wake-up point in many cases:  the *moment* a decision is made, the   
   dream ends.  Please note    
   this is just general observation.  I've got little-to-no clue as to what your   
   dream represents otherwise.

   The first thing that grabs me is the two-person theme:  the POV is that of the   
   omniscient (3rd person) dreamer, while the other two "versions" of the dreamer   
   represent (what I see as) the physical body and perhaps the spiritual body.   
      
   Also of note is the *distance* perceived, as being "a couple hundred yards   
   from shore."  OK, so the first questions here are of the nature, "HOW did you   
   get that far out?" and/or "WHY are you that far out?" but hey, it's   
   dream-world, and such questions    
   are mostly unanswerable, which brings us to the solution presented, swimming   
   to attainable rock platforms of increasing size.  These remind me specifically   
   of the concept of advancement through life, increasing one's domain, with the   
   largest (reasonable)    
   earthly domain being that of the Earth itself.  In short, this seems like an   
   advancement-type quest / dream / journey.   
      
   Question:  do the rocks align pointing *towards* shore or away from or   
   parallel with it?
