|    2020/04/16 Thursday: Rooftop birdbaths?    |
|    16 Apr 20 08:07:38    |
From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2020/04/16 Thursday: Rooftop birdbaths?              Had a bunch of dreams last night / this morning, and while I may *forget* one       or two, here they are in no particular order:              External view of the rooftop of the dreamer's house. Where there were       supposed to be two twirly-type vents (such were expected in the dreamer's       perspective) there were instead *birdbaths!* composed of (two) sealed air       vents, which had been reshaped into        large, slanted balls (kind of egg-shell shaped, but rounder) with a       directional opening (probably open to the north-west, to help reduce direct       sunshine evaporation from the south) and these structures appeared to be white       but with black inset bases. (       Black AND white were the noted colors involved) The concept seemed "obvious"       within the dream scene that they functioned on naturally collecting rain water       for the birds: Either they had water (and these seemed rather full!) or they       were empty. Either        way, they were there as a courtesy to the birds, and apparently filled by God       rather than by some homeowner with a spray hose. Still, the dreamer did feel       a small surprise at having seen them (where they had not been seen before /       were not expected!)        AND a small sense of appreciation regarding the simplistic genius of the       design. It of course, does bring into question, how is that particular roof       then kept sufficiently ventilated?              Another dream seemed to involve a "big dog" and a "little dog" pair that had       somehow become attached to *my* / the dreamer's home location (the dream       setting was practically identical to my own home— it sure *felt* familiar!)        ONE of the two dogs        appeared to have a bandage on part of its fur, covering a hind quarter area.        Neither dog appeared furry / shaggy, but the larger dog appeared naturally       coated, perhaps a degree or two shy of being "shaggy" or "long haired," while       the smaller dog *may*        have been shorn. Details are sketchy due to evaporation. ONE of the two dogs       (I *think* it was the smaller one) seemed to be exploratory, in that (he?) it       went for a romp around the field in back. However, it did seem to return as       well, or so the        dream feels. The dream itself was close to an 8 in clarity, but evaporation       plays hell with the retelling.              In another dream, it seems my *father* (who was alive and kicking in the       dream) was prompted to mow the yard, which I found a bit curious, as that's       largely my responsibility (when the mower goes in for repair, sometimes for a       LONG time, we have to use a        yard mowing service in real life) during which time I spent clearing bracken       (wind-fallen branches?) from the back field. Sure, that's NOT my       "responsibility," but seriously, one can either clean up one's environment, OR       one can wait for someone else to        do it, but why wait if time and opportunity and *motive* are all present? So       anyways, I (the dreamer) was gathering up the detritus from the field,       gathering it all to one point (so either the field people would clean it up,       doubtful, or it could be        placed into a pile for fireplace kindling later) when the focus shifted to my       (the dreamer's) neighbor's house (to the south) specifically, his back yard.        There I met a guy under the porch awning who seemed a bit translucent but that       didn't seem in any        way unusual, just as if one were noting his apparel, which appeared to be       backyard casual on the side of business casual. It really wasn't       distinguishable *because* of his translucent nature. I didn't recognize him,       so I put out my hand to shake his,        and he identified himself as "Stephen Creame" although it *could* have been       "Steven" or "Graham" or "Graeme" but regardless, my first (and distinct??)       impression was "Creame". How it is one can sense the spelling of a person's       name is unusual, but it's        a personal characteristic of mine in real life, although not always 100%       accurate. Still, it's a lot better than most.              I suppose that's all for now. Meanwhile, my book has been edited / proofed up       through page 113, and an extra sentence or two added at the end.        tinyurl.com/TKC-freeview (great for online reading during this #Covid19       #Quarantine) but if someone ever        wants to actually *pay* for the book, a donation may be made at        inyurl.com/ThyKingdomCome-Book1              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
