OK. First, I *really* appreciate your posting here. Seriously! And I know
this is not a place for grammar lessons, *but* there are some things here that
mismatch in *my* mind, so here's how it reads in my head, and where the
   clarification is needed (
for me. I'm sure it's perfectly clear in your perspective, but I'm not you,
   so here we are.) :)

S:> "I notice in my left hand is a leash along with a large male German
Sheppard dog guessing 75-80 lbs. He is wearing a Kevlar vest with words saying
   K-9"

Now, reading that literally, the dog is the one speaking, but I'm assuming
you're actually talking about the blond guy rather than either of the 2 guys
in suits.) I find the mention of the two of you (ladies) in suits "We both
   are wearing 2 piece suits"
to be of interest. I've been noticing a theme that I'm working on, where
sometimes the "idea" is seen twice. For instance, you saw two guys in suits,
now there are two women in suits. I'm not saying this is what's going on
here, but it does seem to
fit the pattern. I've also read a very interesting novel by Richard Bach
("One") in which he and his wife (Leslie) meet their younger selves in astral
/ dream form, basically forming a conversation between two guys and two gals.
   I've also noticed that
sometimes it's as if the dreamer's perspective represents the person in the
dream scene. That's why I started using the phrase "the dreamer" because, to
be perfectly honest, I find it very unclear to say "I" did this or that in a
   dream. I can only
repeat what the dreamer's perspective was like (and sometimes it's like that
of a camera or bird or critter of some sort, rather than "myself.")

S:> "I sit down next to the dog"

OK, so the command was given to the dog to "sit," the dog sits, then you sit
next to the dog. However, as to the comment that your (real life, current)
landlord does not allow pets, the reason I was asking is because sometimes
   life changes in unexpected
ways. Reality conforms to thought. So if the thought of you owning a
Shepherd ever came to fruition, your life would somehow change to conform to
allow that thought to become a reality (as reality conforms to thought, just
as a tree conforms to the
   idea which a seed represents.)

I'm just tossing these ideas out there, because, well, basically, it's simply
something I'm doing at the moment. However, hunger is starting to set in, and
I need to go fix breakfast. Cheers! :-)
