From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2020/06/06 Saturday:              "Priceless Duality": I was in something of a rather light sleep, somewhere in       the neighborhood of either past midnight or past 2 AM, can't recall exactly if       this was before or after the dog's 2 AM neighborhood patrol. But what I do       recall is being        asleep, feeling some current of "thought" (awareness, something!) stirring       within my mind as if sensing the woven fabric of ideas that support one's       given "reality." The point is that whilst "asleep", two words popped into       mind that instantly brought me        to a state of wakefulness: "Priceless Duality," which caused perhaps a half       hour of meditation on what exactly that meant for me in my life and my       future. The first thing that came to mind is the duality of one's perspective       upon the value of life:        from one perspective, one may hold that life is priceless, whilst at the same       time, that same person may also hold that life is worthless. In other words,       Life is priceless AND worthless, so putting a value on ANYTHING (such as a       "Pearl of Great Price")        is a form of duality (dualism.)              This also brought to mind the understanding that dualism exists *within*       unity, however, unity does NOT exist *within* dualism. This got me to       thinking about that donut and the hole: the hole exists within to donut, but       the donut does NOT exist within        the hole. The life of the married couple exists (though is not yet expressed)       within the life of the single individual(s), yet one who is single is *not       yet* within the life of those who are married. << This part began to make a       LOT more sense, and        quite likely explained the backdrop for the other dreams:              Downstream Journey:              While I've had dreams like this, I can't recall them "flowing" along the lines       of a "group participation" theme before, or of having *any* other person(s)       present within the action, so from that perspective, this was something of a       "new" perspective:        There was some (evaporated, unclear, forgotten) segment involving heading       upstream, as if reviewing the course along which the water would be flowing.        The action of the dream becomes much clearer when the dreamer is actually *in*       the stream, flowing        downstream, along the current. There is at least one or possibly two other       folk involved, however, the person of most interest has a female sense about       her. She and the dreamer are having something of a conversation regarding the       sticks and other        obstacles in the water's path along the journey, and the dreamer is explaining       how he goes about removing some objects (sticks) and tossing them aside to the       right. (The course of the water seems to be flowing from scene right to scene       left, in what        might be described as a WWNW direction... maybe– or thereabouts.) The       female seems more interested in simply flowing along with the stream rather       than working on clearing it for anyone else, but then again, perhaps her       ability to swim in this water is        a bit more limited to concentrating on her swimming? The dreamer noted during       this conversation the condition of being nude, in that he was clearly skinny       dipping, as he described a method for swimming in the current that made the       process simpler: that        is, keeping one's feet forward whilst leaning back and using one's hands to       help keep one's butt off the bottom of the stream. It was during this       observation / description that it became clear the dreamer was not wearing any       swim trunks, and his mind        immediately began to wonder if his female swim-buddy was in the same       condition? However, this is about where the dream ended, although some of the       terrain along the way included a high cliff along the right, reminiscent of       where a stream had been        flowing for millenia, carving out the stream bed. And yet other places were       simply *in* the stream bed, as if the stream were superimposed over a city       street, such as Halls Hill Pike. The general direction of the stream was       toward my parents' home at        1103. Note that I feel my Mother has been directly hinting at not being       around much longer, as if she's planning to simply check out and join my late       father, which kinda leaves me a bit "exposed" as it were.                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
