This one       gal was apparently being treated, well, like a school girl, and pressured       regarding her hair, as if        it were not well-kept / messy, and she was feeling disgruntled about being       made to re-do her hair. There was an element in this dream involving another       black girl, who seemed as if she were the same girl's "higher self" in a       discussion with her more "       rebellious" self, and was demonstrating how well-kept her own hair was       (involving a few braids / dreadlocks and green rubber bands.) The dreamer       seemed a bit kinder than I feel myself to be (most of the time) and was       genuinely warmly reaching out to her        in such a way as to help her feel more positive about her own hair, mentioning       "how beautiful" her hair was, and "walk me through this" as in asking the girl       to teach the dreamer how to go about turning her unruly Afro into something a       school girl could        be proud of. The girl took over the process and began to show the dreamer how       to do her hair when the dream ended.              A few things: First, I do not recall ever having a dream before of a black       school girl. Second, I'm fairly positive I've never before had a dream       regarding the handling of Afro hair. And third, I'm *fairly* certain I've       never before reached out in a        dream to a kid in such a manner as to help them feel better about themselves,       although I've always kept a positive attitude toward children in general. The       only black schoolgirl who has any link with Gina was her friend, Ramona S.,       but I met Ramona (       with Gina) when they were both 17 or 18 years of age. To say I'm a bit       perplexed over this is stating it mildly. My only "rational" explanation is       that it was definitely "Gina-influenced." The dreamer felt "warm" of spirit,       certainly much better than        I myself normally feel by myself.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
