From: dicksilk@gmail.com              2020-10-11 (Sunday, late) (I'm posting this on 10-12.)              On the night-into the morning of Sunday, 10/11, I had a number of dreams, but       the one that stuck around until today was the one where the dreamer was in a       SHORT clip of himself and perhaps one (MAYBE 2) other person(s) getting       instruments ready for        rehearsal (or whatever purpose one may have to play an instrument.) The other       person seen seemed to be getting a larger brass instrument ready, such as a       baritone / euphonium. The dreamer was preparing to play his trumpet, placing       the mouthpiece into        the lead pipe, and either starting to or actually doing the lip-buzz warm-up       technique which is likely what caused the end of the dream. NOTE: that the       dreamer in this case *seemed* more like my younger self (from my days back in       high school) although        there was no actual feeling of "age" to speak of. Basically, just "me"       getting ready to play "my" trumpet. It felt good to be playing my horn (or       about to play it, at any rate) and I always felt a "good" sense about it as       well, in real life. Here's        the thing, as they say: it was (later) STOLEN in real life (around 1995) and       a police report filed with the Murfreesboro Police Dept. (or possibly the       Rutherford County Sheriff's dept.) and the serial # was listed: 56347. It       was a silver Bach        Stradivarius model, with a size 42 or 43 bell (I never could remember which,       as both sizes were present in the trumpet section in those days.) The case       was also stolen. It was / is somewhat heartbreaking when I get to remembering       this condition (of it        being stolen.) I keep hoping that it will show up again, someday.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
