Fair question :-) I *thought* I had described this earlier (in the past) but
since you asked (ask and ye shall receive!): It has occurred to me on more
than one occasion that the perspective of the view being reported / blogged
   MAY NOT necessarily be
that of the individual writing up the account. For instance, let's assume
(and I REALLY mean "assume" here!) that "I" (Richard) "dream" that "I" am
about to give birth. "I" can FEEL the head of the baby as it pushes against
my pelvis / sacral area. I
had such a dream several years ago on the night of July 24th, the morning of
July 25th (my birthdate) and even posted it here in this forum (alt.dreams)
somewhere back in time. Later that day, IN REAL LIFE, I received notice that
   my sister, Cynthia, was
at the hospital, giving birth a week or so ahead of her due date in August. I
went to her room, and only had time to wish her well and place my hand upon
her right shoulder (from behind) when she said curtly, something to the effect
   of "Thank you, now
get out." In her condition at that time, that was what one could describe as
an unquestionable order. So *very* shortly thereafter, my nephew Ben was born.

This is perhaps THE most descriptive example I can present of where "the
dreamer" represents someone OTHER than the individual relating the dream.
Sure, my (late) sister and I share a familial (as well as genetic) bond /
traits (she was a full sister,
not half or step or foster or anything like that.) To say "I" had the dream,
OK, sure, "I" had the dream. I certainly posted it. But "who", exactly, was
the personage IN the dream? It was entirely from the perspective of my
   sister, and as "the
dreamer," I coulda sworn that if I had pushed one more time, something down in
my pelvic / sacral area would "break" apart. The object being "pushed" felt
entirely like a bowling ball being pressed out of "my" abdomen. Since "I" am
   Cynthia's BROTHER (a
genetic XY male from birth!) it is clear (to me, at any rate) that this
demonstrates a need to identify these "dreams" as being from the perspective
of "the dreamer", because saying "I" did or thought something within a dream
is, in my opinion, FAR too
egotistical a position, and certainly a VERY questionable one at times. There
are VERY *few* instances where "I" feel as if "I AM" the dreamer. I've only
heard my first name used ONCE in a dream that I can recall off the top of my
   head, and even then,
the incident involved "the dreamer" spinning about 180° in order to face the
person / presence who had been "behind" the dreamer.
