From: dicksilk@gmail.com              10:05 AM 1/8/2021              Quick list:              Attic ladder w/other exit(s)       Batteries going out on at least 3 devices       Sleeping in chair in street       Dad / car / takeoffs       Young Sheldon / Star Trek episode       Crowd of people re: gas station location       Corner lot flora       Car involved expectation of picking up *several* women       Comparison of taller self / shorter dad.              10:12 AM 1/8/2021              Attic ladder w/other exit(s):       The dreamer is inside something akin to the framework of a house under       construction (standard home using wooden 2x4 frame / walls) or at least that's       all I can recall of the dream scenario. It had that very wooden color /       lighting to it (if you've ever        stood inside a house under construction, this is super-evident.) There       appeared to be various exits (or at least "openings") to the outside, as the       dreamer had a sense of a window or door portal (reserved area / opening within       a framework) off to the        left, possibly 20' away or so. The attic opening was visible in such a way       that the dreamer was able to "pull down" a ladder structure which seemed made       of white plastic, although in real life, such attic structures are made of       wooden slats, so it's        possible there may have been a lighting or clarity issue of some kind within       the dream itself. The dreamer climbed up the ladder (which was more a matter       of "will" than of "effort") and noted the view from above, that being of       looking out as it were *       over* the frame of the roof, such that open skies were visible in all       directions. Note: this morning, the skies in real life are mostly overcast       due to the entire region (of the South-central Tennessee / Alabama / Georgia       area, etc.) being under a        rainy low pressure system. I even saw a single flake of snow drizzly falling       outside my window this morning. If one is personally familiar with the       appearance of snow-laden skies, this is the type view seen by the dreamer,       looking out over the rooftop        of the attic. The lighting in the dream vs. the lighting outdoors at this       moment are *nearly* identical! End of dream, clarity 8+/9- (sure, the skies       were nearly life-like, but the lack of clarity regarding the actual view       inside the house, and the        attic steps, bring it down slightly from a solid 9.)              Batteries going out on at least 3 devices:       I took notes this morning in writing (of the dream subject lines / titles) but       all I can recall of this one is that at least 3 devices failed to operate due       to dead batteries, or at least ,that's how it seemed in the dream. The       dreamer was seemingly        outdoors, similar to the back yard, possibly using outdoor maintenance items,       similar to a battery-powered weed whacker or possibly a 2nd device, possibly a       battery-powered mower, TOTALLY unclear, but the 3rd item seemed certainly       hand-held in size,        similar to a disc sander (or possibly grinder) with a very bristly type brush,       suitable for knocking stuff off of brick walls, or possibly stripping wall       paper, or flaky paint off of a fence, etc. The dreamer had the sense of       putting down the 3rd item,        not wishing to incur possible damage by picking up another item and possibly       finding its battery power drained as well. Clarity 6. The description of the       1st two items are purely from a conscious perspective, while the description       of the bristle brush        is half-recall / half-conscious perspective.              Sleeping in chair in street:       The dreamer experienced the sense of dozing in a chair (sort of a folding       chair, similar to the chaise-style wide strip style of the 1960s) located in       the MIDDLE of Scottland Drive, facing Greenland Drive (south) as if awaiting       the passage of the mailman.        There came a point within this "napping in the middle of the street" dream       when someone *did* seem to pass by, as if to somehow acknowledge the       importance of the message the dreamer had to deliver. There was some kind of       question spoken aloud, such as        "Were you sleeping here *all night* to make sure I got this?" While that may       not be exactly verbatim, it's *very close* to what I can recall at this       point. Dream ended, but surprisingly at least a clarity 7, despite the sense       of napping / snoozing all        night in the middle of the street.              10:59 AM 1/8/2021 (these time stamps only indicate the time at which I'm       writing up the recollection.)              Dad / car / takeoffs:       The dreamer (who seemed very much like myself) was in a kind of 1970s muscle       car, similar to a forest / dark green Thunderbird or possibly an "El Torino"       (if ever there was such a car.) The car had a *very* powerful engine under       the hood, similar (I        imagine) to a Dodge 440 Interceptor, but hey, I'm in NO way an expert on car       engines!! The point is that it had *punch* on take off (aka "torque" AND       horsepower!) and the dreamer made at least two small starts, practically       tests, when the dream seems to        center on the location of a gas station (what *originally* was a Phillips 66       *service* station, now a convenience mart IRL *with* gas pumps) at the corner       of Greenland Drive and TN Blvd. The dreamer (much like myself) seems involved       with a guy similar        to my father, only a version similar to age 30, with the vigor of that age and       dark(er) hair. I think my dad maintained his darker hair (IRL) until perhaps       his 60s, but that's more a sense of personal memory than actual fact at this       point. He passed on        back in May of 2006, so my memories of him are starting to acquire the       coloration effect of "time." Regardless, the Dad-figure in the dream seemed       content with allowing the dreamer (behind the driver's left-side steering       wheel, in the front seat, more        like a bench seat rather than a bucket seat) to continue at will, almost as if       to say "I'll be here when you come back for me," but that wasn't clearly       expressed, at least, my recall of that sense is more mental than to claim "he       said—." I recall a        third punch of the gas pedal, as if heading out of the parking lot onto       Greenland, when the dream ended. Clarity 8-ish.              11:17 AM 1/8/2021              Young Sheldon / Star Trek episode:              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
