That's an interesting thought, and may well explain the concept of folding
hands in prayer, however, Jesus is often depicted as holding His hand wide
apart and upturned toward Heaven. However, using the analogy of a car battery
   (having anode- AND
cathode+ terminals) when the jumper cables are crossed, a short occurs
(creating spark, heat) which would tend to indicate external release of
energy. The concept of praying with hands wide apart reminds me of (as an
   analogy) a Christmas tree light
along the wire: energy flows from one end, through the light, then out the
other. To those who may observe that "yeah, but it's an AC not a DC" with
Christmas tree lights, keep in mind, that even in an AC, the current is always
   in one direction (DC)
for 1/60th of a second (the next 60th of a second, the current reverses,
hence, the term: AC) In perhaps a better analogy, a person with hands apart
more easily joins hands with others, completing a circle.

At any rate, sure, it might be √ (I could spend all day pondering the
question!) The conscious becoming aware of the unconscious might be referred
to as "a soul circuit" :-)
