From: dicksilk@gmail.com              This morning, I got up early to get to work early, only to find that I was no       longer an employee at my place of employment. Interestingly enough, I took       this remarkably well. I considered it more of a "lesson accomplished" than       anything else. What        struck me later was the resonance between the condition of real life and the       dream I'd had two nights prior, having to deal with lifting a type of metallic       grid off the ground, only to find a rather large snake beneath it, that had       become "dormant" upon        the cold ground.              Something about the head of the snake seemed more diamond shape than       rectangular, a signal of the snake having poison glands to go with the fangs.        For whatever reason, the dreamer managed to SLICE the head off that snake.        There was almost an echoed        memory of there having been another snake in the same area (on the ground,       beneath the grid) and the dreamer sliced its head off also.              Now the interesting part: the echoed memory was like of something that       happened in a more distant time frame, and the cutting off of the head seemed       rather simple, while the fresher image of cutting the head off a snake seemed       a bit more "recent", and        it was as if a razor blade or knife had to be used to slowly cut off that       snake's head.              When the snake was decapitated, the body was limp, and the head seemed to be       nowhere to be found, thus, out of sight, out of mind as it were.              I'm *fairly certain* that the snake decapitations were directly symbolic of       something that occurred on the job, which resulted in my leaving the company.              What was interesting about the dream was, I actually felt SORRY for the       snake. I'm certain there were some folk at work who were genuinely sorry to       see me go.              Ah well, on to new adventures, and now (at least) I have more time to spend at       my laptop √ ☺              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
