From: dicksilk@gmail.com              As it's the end of the year, I'll be "tagging" 12/30 and 12/31 onto the end of       Christmas :-)              I had this largely symbolic yet VERY realistic dream toward the middle of the       night, possibly closer toward dawn, wherein the dreamer felt to be "in his       30s" or possibly 20s, but "he" did feel *very much* like myself back in my       teens and later pizza        driving years (starting in my 20s.) There was a large, outdoor/indoor type       location, similar to a farm compound, starting with an indoor area framed over       a slab of concrete, not unlike those outdoor / indoor wings of Wal*Mart or       Lowes' garden areas,        although there were no stock shelves to speak of, just a large, slab concrete       floor area.              There also appeared to be some type of cart, roughly 8' long x 3' wide,       possibly slightly shorter & narrower, on wheels (castors) low to the ground       with a *large* ∩- shaped handle (for pushing) that came up at least to chest       height. On the cart (that        had to've had sides of at least a few inches) were several green plants,       perhaps 18" tall (maybe 2') but all uniform in height, as if they'd been grown       in a greenhouse or other controlled environment, probably from seeds, and the       objective was to get the        cart of plants outside into a more open area, allegedly for transplanting.              The dreamer was almost independently intent on getting the cart out there       simply for the challenge of the task. There did not appear to be any foreman       giving orders, although it MAY have been a suggestion from the omniscient       narrator-mind within the        dream.              As the dreamer was getting the cart over the threshold of what could pass for       a doorway in a wall, the scene changed to an outdoor venue that was like a       cemetery, where a grave was being dug. Apparently the body was being buried       mostly "as is," without        any mortuary prep to speak of, and even the contents of the body's pockets had       not been checked... that is, until the dreamer had a notion to go through the       pockets.              There was at *least* a pen knife (perhaps 5" long, folded up) of a pale,       yellowish color (most pen knives I've encountered in real life have had a       dark, woody color) but I'm *pretty sure* the dreamer personally pocketed the       knife, rather than returning        it to the pocket of the deceased. Some thought of retaining value in the       world flit through the mind.              There were then seen a sizable *pile* of small, round objects that where at       first thought to be coins, but the dreamer thrust his hand into the pile and       brought up button-like objects, ALL with faces upon them, ALL smaller than       dimes. There is the        possibility (although it wasn't fully explained clearly) that those faces MAY       have all represented "past lives"— but whether they were past lives of the       dreamer, or simply lives that had passed, was not made perfectly clear, or       even if there was a        difference at all.              At about this point, the dreamer took a GOOD look around the cemetery. Along       the edges were LARGE statues, and for some reason, I recall thinking of them       in terms of school busses. Like 5 or 6 school busses in length, and (as seen       from their front)        enough busses wide that the width was either the same as the length OR       slightly less. The focus on the size of the bases was drawn by the nature of       the statue itself (actually, there were more than one, but the first one got       the most attention.) It        looked a bit like a cross between a great horned owl and the Roman god of       Mercury, with the winged helmet. It also had a kind of "Mars" (god of War)       vibe to it as well. It seemed made of either concrete and/or marble, but also       had some decorative areas        that looked like polished brass and/or copper. (Not the corroded, green       copper exposed to weathering, but bright, well-shined copper, like a new       penny!)              The dreamer was wondering why there were these "pagan" statues in a cemetery,       even as the "newer" one seemed a bit like a cross between Uncle Sam and a Bald       Eagle. The dreamer didn't get much time on that statue, as the action came       back to the field,        and then into the structure (with the slab concrete floor) and a guy who       appeared *possibly* "not-all there" as it were. He had reddish hair, not more       than shoulder length, but pulled OUT to each side, as if he'd shaped his hair       like a lumberjack might        shape his handlebar mustache.              He had a peculiar way of talking (as if he believed in false idols / false       gods, perhaps?) and (along with his odd hair style) the dreamer figured he was       simply emulating one of the deity-statues out in the cemetery.              The dream ended with the thought that the cart had been left outside, but       there wasn't much (if anything) said about the plants being left on the cart.        Although this was all VERY much in the clarity 9 zone, I suspect there was a       TON of symbolism from        the 7 zone, and there was a LOT of room for question / answer, but apparently       that's about to get handled here "in post":              I have a HUNCH that the statues represented *cultural* "idols of the past"       that have gone into making the world what it is today, namely, into making my       LIFE what it is today. I have a HUNCH that ALL those buttons with faces on       them (and there was a        PILE of them! Hundreds, easily!) *may* have represented my own, personal       past-lives. Keep in mind that every properly married couple (male AND female)       could have been represented by one OR two buttons, but that thought was never       detected *during* the        dream itself. The trees / saplings might possibly represent the lives I have       effected (or even spawned!) as a result of having sired 4 children of my own,       not to mention any number of lives that could have been "seeded" as a *result*       of interactions in        my life.              So much for "The Cemetery."                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
