   I realize this is being posted a day late, but the dream imagery was such that   
   I wanted to wait a day to see how things "played out."   
      
   The dreamer was walking along a WIDE sidewalk at what "felt" like UT Knoxville   
   ("Big Orange") of which I've only been to maybe once IRL back in the early   
   '80s (MAYBE '79) but still, it sure FELT like UT!  If you've ever been on a   
   campus, there may be    
   sidewalks that are more like a "concourse," being 15'-20' wide or more, enough   
   for 5 or 6 wheel chairs to easily roll beside each other, even though these   
   paths were built WAY before any disabilities act, but rather for masses of   
   students to meander from    
   point A to point B.   
      
   As the dreamer was walking along (in a slightly lower right to slightly upper   
   left direction, like WWNW) there were seen on the right side of the walkway   
   about 2 or 3 LARGE, dark (mostly black) birds, like bald eagles, maybe   
   pony-sized or slightly larger,   
    perched as if in large nests made of (thicker than) twigs (yet thinner than   
   branches) and although the dreamer did not pay too much attention to them,   
   they were certainly noticed as they seemed "sad" (which I can state in   
   "hindsight" was actually    
   mourning.)   
      
   A moment later, there were these LARGE blue birds with long tail feathers,   
   sort of like blue peacocks with their tail feathers collected, trailing behind   
   rather than fanned out, perhaps a bit smaller than the previously viewed   
   eagles, certainly a bit    
   smaller than ponies.  I *seem* to recall seeing two of them, although it is   
   certainly possible the view may have simply been a result of "seeing double,"   
   which is very possible in dreams.   
      
   As I mentioned before, I waited the day on posting this, because I thought   
   surely, if something that relates to this in some way might pop up, it should   
   become immediately apparent.   
      
   Near the start of the evening (after sunset) I ran across an online facebook   
   comment in a group for alumni of the local high schools, and there was a   
   comment from a childhood friend of mine (IRL, Troy, although technically an   
   "acquaintance" rather than a    
   "friend") who was posting his sadness at the *surprise* passing of a *mutual*   
   friend, Alan.  I never knew Alan was a friend of Troy's, but Troy's memorial   
   comment was that he and Alan used to do things at UT, which caught my   
   attention, as those "eagles"    
   had been seen *at* a setting that *felt* like UT Knoxville.  Odd thing, UT's   
   mascot is a blue tick hound, "Smokey," but the "big orange" UT Vols   
   (volunteers) have a traditional rivalry with "Tennessee Tech's" "Golden   
   Eagles."  I suppose a football fan    
   would not have mixed up these symbols, but then again, perhaps I misread the   
   facebook post, and the two guys went to "Tech" rather than UT?  I'll have to   
   review at some point.
