|    2022-02-25 Friday: Soviet Supermarket?    |
|    25 Feb 22 10:29:02    |
From: dicksilk@gmail.com              Although today is my son Landon's 14th birthday, last night's dream was more       of a "SNAFU" condition in a supermarket, wherein the dreamer THOUGHT the story       to be a local Kroger type grocery store, only the people waiting to check out       were in lines so        long as to block the main aisle that runs behind the checkout registers.              The dreamer had been on the store's "front left" section (if you went in as a       customer through the front, go hard right until reaching that right-hand       corner) and was simply trying to pass to the store's front right section       (coming into the store from        the center, go left.) About this point, it behooves the writing of this dream       to use stage directional orientation references.              As the entire front, main aisle (that separates the checkouts from the aisles       of shelves) was completely congested with shoppers lined up to check out, the       dreamer decided to attempt moving toward the rear aisle of the store       (typically the meat section,        sometimes also the seafood section) to try to cross behind the throng in order       to get to the store's front (stage) right corner, but— the entire BACK aisle       (backstage) was entirely chock full of shoppers ALL in line to check out as       well. Dream ended.        Clarity 9 but *highly* dismal. Upon remembering the dream, I was reminded of       the soviet style "lines for blocks just to buy a loaf of bread or roll of       toilet paper, IF you're lucky." In the news, Ukrainian citizens are       individually fighting the        invading soviets hand-to-hand, to the death, IRL.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
