From: dicksilk@gmail.com              What I remember from last night's / this morning's dreams amount to a short       scenario wherein the dreamer was having some type of discussing with a friend       of mine from college (LWD) having something to do with a computer station       (monitor, internet or        network access of some kind.) When I first awoke, I had more details, but       have been busy this morning, and for now, all I can recall is that it had       something to do with "looking at" another *point* (node) on the network. What       was visible was similar to        doing a remote into another station, wherein what was seen was a BUNCH of       icons indicating *drives* at the remote (other) node. It felt as if the       dreamer was looking at another person's computer. What was of most interest       (technologically speaking) is        that the icons were of DRIVES (at LEAST a dozen, possibly *dozens!*) rather       than FOLDERS.              Example: let's say you have a "my computer" icon, and within "my computer"       you have a C: (C drive) and possibly a D: (D drive, typically an optical drive       like a CD or DVD) and possibly an E: drive (for like a USB stick, external       drive, and sometimes        printers have a SLEW of drive ports as well, typically going up to around       drive H or even J.) The C drive could have NUMEROUS folders, such as "My       Documents" / "Users" / "Programs" / "Windows" (etc.) In this case, the view       was of DRIVES as if each        drive could possibly represent from a few gigabytes to possibly even       terabytes. Regardless, it indicated massive amounts of storage capacity.              Whatever the friend in the dream could have wanted or needed is unclear. The       massive amount of drive icons is what "pulled focus" in the scene. Clarity 9,       except for all the forgotten / evaporated content, obviously.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
