From: dicksilk@gmail.com              This dream is actually from yesterday, but I never got around to writing it       up, and as a consequence, only a few elements of those dreams (specifically,       one in particular) remain, so here it is:              The Ossuary:              First, for those who may not know, an Ossuary is a container of bones,       normally human bones, one would imagine. To that extent, the human body is a       "living ossuary" but people rarely (if ever!) use the word in that way. As an       historical matter, the Ark        of the Covenant (in which was kept the 10 Commandments written in stone) was       used as an ossuary for carrying the bones of Jacob out of Egypt.              In the dream: the dreamer encountered something roughly the shape of a door       wreath, only smaller than a toilet seat, with a diameter of perhaps 4"       (minimum) to 6" (maximum.) It appeared ivory-colored, with just a tinge of       that ivory-yellow to it,        definitely not entirely white. I mention a wreath and toilet seat because the       object appeared donut-shaped in dimension (with a thickness to it of closer to       maybe a half inch than to an inch, max) along with what appeared to be a       string or wire of some        type attached to near the "10 & 2" positions of the top of the object.              There is a motion wherein something akin to a pencil is slid under the cord as       if to lift it up and possibly hang it upon a thumb tack or hook as if on a       wall or door, however, what is seen next appears to have preempted the       conclusion of that motion.              In some way, this object is *opened up* as if it were a locket with the hinge       on top rather than the side. Using ASCII text at this keyboard, it could be       depicted as in the shape of a figure 8, *rather than* would be a pocket watch,       which would open to        the side, thusly: ∞ (Yet the same concept of the shape of an infinite loop       comes to mind.)              *INSIDE* this opened locket is seen what appears to be a *very* miniature       collection of bones, with the skull noted most prominently. Some of the       skeletal limbs are also noted, such as arm & leg bones, and they appear to be       connected, as would be a        skeletal trinket on a charm bracelet, so that the bones were articulated       (could move about with relative freedom, as they would if linked by a metal       loop at the bottom of one bone and at the top of the bone beneath it.)              As the dreamer was getting a better view of these bones, there came into       awareness the presence of a "second set" of bones, much like the "inner"       skeletal set, such as the spine & ribs and pelvis, and the pencil / stylus       that had been used to lift the        cord was used to lift this "inner set" into place, and sure enough, a complete       (articulated) skeletal structure was then seen as "whole," intact.              Mind you, these bones were seen to jiggle a bit as they would naturally, if       they had been put together by an artisan for the purpose of creating a       miniature, articulated skeleton, as the lower set was raised into position       with the upper set.              That was basically the end of the dream (at least, after a day, that's about       all I can remember) but I did notice at the time of waking that it was on the       order of clarity 7 (symbolic) to 8+ or 9, as if one had been actually dreaming       of an actual ossuary        with actual, miniaturized, human bones. There was a sense of genuineness       (legitimacy / validity / *authenticity*) to the scene, as one would respect       the bones of one who had passed, even though they'd apparently been put       together for display.              Whether or not this had *anything* to do with the late Queen Elizabeth's (II)       body (casket) being transported from Balmoral to Edinburgh is *possibly*       coincidental rather than related. Rather than attempt to "interpret" this       dream, I'm content to simply        journal it for now.              Oh yes, this is my son Logan's 16 birthday today. Happy Birthday, Logan!        (born: Logan Grant Vining Silk, adopted as "Logan Daniel Goin".)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
