|    2023/05/15 Monday: strange classroom: el    |
|    15 May 23 13:51:50    |
From: dicksilk@gmail.com              I had *two* DBWs (dreams before waking) this morning, as I got up early with       respect to letting the dog out for a brief trot, as well as going back to bed       and getting up again somewhere around 8 AM.              While it is questionable as to precisely when the first dream (that I can       remember) occurred, it definitely preceded the last one, which preceded waking       around 8 AM.              The dream *before* the two last dreams involved the dreamer sitting in a room,       much like a larger, collegiate-type classroom (or possibly a science hall for       a *very* large high school) that had some interesting markings along the       physical walls:              Along the left, *near the ceiling,* was a line (of perhaps 3' in length) with       a barb at the end, similar to a N→ (North) indicator on a map. There was       also a line along a different axis ( | ) as if to indicate West—East.              There also appeared to be gradient marks running down the side, much like a       sextant, so that a sky gazer (sailor, astronomer, surveyor, etc.) could       determine both distance as well as direction in terms of degrees (of       elevation?) (Only around the North        Pole is the North Star (Polaris) *actually* "straight up overhead.")              I have no clear recollection of anything being discussed within that classroom       type environment, but otherwise, it had a clarity of around 8+ to 9.              Elevator Malfunction:       The dreamer is as if in a cage-type elevator, similar to those old-fashioned       types that resemble something of a see-through cage of bars and/or lace /       lattice work, of a roughly small footprint, like *maybe* around 4'x4'(max!)       when it seems *as if* the        elevator is "stuck" or "stopped" as if between floors.              I know, I use "as if" a LOT, but that's because the "clarity" of the dream is       somewhere in the 7 through 8+ range, and it's really very much an "as if" type       likeness / comparison / situation.              The "main character" does something *much like* crawling half-way up the       outside of the elevator car, as seen from the camera's perspective (the       perspective of the dream view) with the character's back towards the dream       narrative perspective.              (NOTE: IF this were likened to an astral-type, out-of-body experience, this       makes perfect sense, in that the astral body "views" the physical body as if       it were someone or something else, yet a connection still exists.)              So the dream character is half-way up the (upstage center perspective) outside       of the elevator car, and fudging / fidgeting / "futzing" around with what may       be cables and/or buttons above the roof of the car, and (*IF I recall       correctly*) the car begins        to start going up (at least far enough that the door / gate may be opened, and       another floor accessed.) The dream ended as the car began to move, but I do       recall something of a thought similar to: "Well, gotta keep trying. Nothing       will occur if nothing        is tried." Clarity 8+ to 9+.              Interestingly enough, this principle / precept comes into play in the final       DBW for this Monday morning:              Flirtatious Invitation:       The dreamer (who is basically me, in the head-space of the dream character) is       locked out of a structure, *much like* a regular two-story house, with       something *similar* to "Spanish Barrel Tile" type roofing shingles, only *not       nearly* quite so rounded†      ” more like "architectural style" roof shingles, with a barely noticeable arch       -^- shape in the center of each shingle.              There is a type of extended area of a lower floor that allows for some       crawling space to get to a window of the upper floor.              The dreamer is very much on the *edge* of the shingles (as I can "feel" the       "gravity" / "weight" of the situation!) and has a *tenuous grasp* of the       precarious nature of where "he" is. (I definitely *felt* like a guy in a       dangerous situation.)              There exists a few choices, namely:       1) fall,       2) back down and *maybe* fall, but fail to access the house, or       3) continue onward and strive towards success.              The dreamer shimmies further forward, and the next thing I can recall, it's as       if the dreamer has not only made it *into* the 2nd floor, but *also* come out       the lower (first) floor in such as manner as to leave the house unlocked.              Please note: there was *no* breaking in order to enter the structure. There       was simply an open / unlocked window on the 2nd floor.              So now the dreamer is heading back towards the house (on the ground floor) and       is standing before at least one door (possibly two, but one is all that's       required for the narrative) and is slightly perplexed that there appear to be       NO handles or locks or        anything of any kind on the outside of the door(s.)              There does, however, appear to be some type of small, circular area (of maybe       1" diameter total!) near the upper left corner of a door (that has hinges on       its right.) (If there had been a second door, to the left, it would have had       hinges on its left,        and may have also had a small circle on its upper right corner.)              The dreamer has a type of moment of intuition, and simply *presses* against       the circle on the door. (This would be the door in focus, and *if* there were       two doors, it would be the one on the right, with the circle in the upper left       corner.)              The pushing of that circle results in a type of spring-back action that gently       propels the door open. The dreamer goes inside.              Upon entering, the dreamer catches a super-brief glimpse of a blonde form of       Gina on the stairway leading up to the second floor.              Now please notice the "title" of this dream: "Flirtatious Invitation". This       has to do with the female's tone of voice and energy of action in the       following scene:              She says *something* like a mock-warning, such as: "Don't come in any further       or I'll call the police / 9-1-1."              Now I *get* that when someone says something like that, typically, it should       be strictly adhered to, however, she was speaking *tauntingly* in a       *flirtatious* manner, *rather* than in a scared, worried, or fearful tone of       voice. I'm certain it was the "       tone of voice" / physical mannerisms on display that led the dreamer to       continue further into the house.              The female had apparently used a cellphone of some sort to actually place a       9-1-1 call, *possibly* with text as well, *and yet* had left the phone by       dropping it onto the floor of the hallway.                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
