From: dicksilk@gmail.com              There was one dream wherein the dreamer was as if sitting in a theater, in the       audience section, floor level, right side, at *least* half-way back, closer to       the rear.              The view was of a pair of actors on the stage (at least one guy and one gal,       possibly as a romantic couple) who were performing their roles in an unusual       stage set: The *view* was of the guy almost falling off a bridge, and I       *think* the female helped        pull him back up onto the bridge. (That part wasn't exactly "clearly seen,"       much less recalled, but *something* akin to him nearly falling over the edge       and possbly being assisted back up to safety seemed to be the gist of the       action within that scene.)              Now about the "bridge"— the dreamer became more interested in the structure       of the *set* than anything else, and noticed that the "bridge" was *only* a       portion of the width of the stage! It was like it extended from stage left,       elevated about half-       way up the proscenium (merriam-webster.com/dictionary/proscenium) and       extending half-way to stage center, so that to the people seated "audience       right" it looked as if the bridge covered the entire stage, left to right,       half-way up, between the surface        of the stage and the top of the arch.              It *also* looked like the bridge (elevated walkway) was designed with a       naval/rib cage-height wall, so that it would take a heck-uv-an event for a       person to topple over that edge. The dreamer was wondering if it was built       for safety or for appearance,        as the lower torsos of the actors (except *maybe* the feet) were obscured by       that wall.              The dreamer *did* "shift left" towards the center of whatever row the dreamer       was perceiving this from, and that's how the width of the bridge was noticed,       that it really *only* extended from stage left to stage center. Apparently,       by reducing the        length of the bridge to something less than 50% of the actual distance (from       stage left to stage center) the weight of the bridge was therefore *also*       reduced, along with any (hidden) necessary underside support needed to keep it       (and the actors)        suspended above ground. If you've ever seen one of those *nice* intersections       where there's a pole on the right corner (American traffic) that goes straight       up, then holds an arm to the left in order to support the traffic lights,       *without* crossing all        the way across the road to the left corner, then you have an idea of how this       particular bridge (stage set element) may have been shaped.              To be clear, the dreamer never actually viewed any *possible* support element       to the bridge. *Most* of the above 3 paragraphs relates to how it possibly       *could* have been built (IRL) in order to promote the illusion of two actors       crossing a bridge        during a play. Overall clarity, 9, although if some of the actors' dialogue       had been better heard / understood, it would easily have made it to 9+. A       close-up on the actors themselves could have brought it up to a 10-, as the       dreamer actually felt as        if (he) were in the auditorium / seating area of a play that was being       performed up on stage, up on a bridge.              In another dream, the dreamer was delivering pizzas (a job I used to have for       the better part of 20 years, part time, except for a short stretch or two of       *nearly* full time employment.) The dreamer is en route to deliver a pie       (what the biz refers to        as a single pizza, at any point from pre-ordering to delivery) when the driver       is looking at the price to be collected on the data strip of paper on the edge       of the box (stuff gets written, usually via a carbonless copy, then that strip       of paper gets        applied to an edge of the box, and that is what the driver uses to make sure       that delivery X gets to destination Y) when the price suddenly came into       focus, that being somewhere in the 3 figure range, over $100.oo (like around       $112 or $120-something?)        indicating that this was likely *more* than just one pizza. The data label       seemed to indicate that it was one of a 10-pie order, so that the driver had       just come so far without the full quantity that had been ordered, and was       *almost* at the point of        delivery when the error had been detected. This is where things get a bit       "wonky" in the dream world.              *In the real world,* the driver would've gotten to a pay phone (in the days       before the ubiquitous cell phone) and called the store, to speak with a       manager, as to what to do next. That way, no matter what the manager ordered       done, the driver would do,        and there would be no further problem (other than possibly a review / possible       lecture on how the error had occurred in the first place.)              In the dream, the dreamer seemed to have some association with his own home       *as well as* with a store— there was an "older woman" at the home, akin to       the dreamer's mother, who was somehow able to put pies in the oven, as if to       get the order caught up        to 10 pies, but the dreamer was, for some reason, reluctant to call his home       to get the order filled properly.              Then there was some type of dilemma regarding going to the customer's       destination with *only* one pie out of the order, or to return to the store       (or to the dreamer's home) in order to get the whole thing together, but that       would delay the delivery of        the fresh, hot, single pie that was nearly at the destination.              I mean, this dream was all about *frustration* and indecision / lack of order       / lack of structure / failure in the chain of sequence, from the time the       order was placed, put together, then dispatched. (If this were to occur in       real life, the first issue        would be with the driver failing to fully check the data strip on the box       *before* leaving the store; the secondary error would be in the pie being       allowed to leave *prior* to the full order being ready to go. If there was       any third-level error, it        could've been in the mis-marking of the order as a multi-pie order. The fact       that the cost was over $100 for *one* delivery meant that either there was a       HUGE mix-up, as just described, *OR* "Bidenomics" was really "doing a number"       on the economy of the        area. (I remember when a pizza could be bought for $5 as part of a promotion       / carry-out only.)                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
