|    2024/07/26 Friday: Dad surprise (1/2)    |

From: Richard.Silk@Juno.Com              Interrupted prayer scene:       The dreamer is simply traveling through a building and enters a nicely       wooden-paneled room, and surprises a guy (Caucasian looking, for the most part)       who appeared to be on his knees, facing the shorter wall (inside the door to       the       right is a corner, and the shorter wall goes to that corner.)              The dreamer excuses himself for interrupting the person's prayers, thinking it       was a Muslim praying to Mecca (a bit of idolatry, perhaps, but to continue....)              The dreamer turns away, realizes this builing is on the southern side of Clark       Blvd. (thinking in the dream it was West Clark Blvd., in Murfreesboro TN, but       IRL it would be EAST Clark Blvd.) and (being well-acquainted with that       particular area of the road) informs the praying person that he's facing the       wrong direction, rather than east. The praying person simply asks "How do you       know?" (or something to that effect) and the dreamer explains that the airport       (in the direction from where the person was located, directly out the door from       which the dreamer entered) is north of that stretch of road. (The praying       person was actually facing "west," although, depending upon one's location on       the globe, those situated "east of" Mecca might actually face "the shortest       distance," thus to the west. I'm uncertain as to whether Muslims are allowed       to       face west, however.) Clarity 9+/10-.                     Travel through a metropolis / city:       The dreamer was *as if* traveling on foot, yet with a speed more like that of a       motorcycle, though with no feeling of being in or on a vehicle.              The scenery was similar to that of a highway or interstate, specifically, of an       area of a large town where there may be overpasses where the size of the       population growth required building over sections of town that remained       developed (as it's unlikely that someone would build *under* an overpass.        There       was a sense that, for whatever reason, the dreamer was traveling in the wrong       direction, then turned around and traveled back along the way in which (he) had       just come.              There seemed to be a concern about meeting oncoming traffic, much like as if       one       were traveling along the wrong way of an interstate or highway, yet there was       no       oncoming traffic whatsoever: the way was totally clear.              This eventually came to an area where the roadway became that of an       ever-tightening, spiral-shaped waterslide (heading downwards, of course) only       there was no water to speak of. The dreamer simply began swirling down along       the slide, at one point feeling as if there was a type of hand-car structure's       wheels (or possibly just a lower-placed, *firm* hand) keeping the dreamer from       flying off the slide due to centrifugal force.              As the downward spiral became rather tight, the spiral and the slide *opened       up*       and straightened out to a full-width roadway that opened even wider into a ramp       that merged onto an open area, *much like* how a car might spiral down from an       upper level of a parking garage. The lower width / mouth of the ramp/merge       area       was at *least* 3-cars wide. Yet again, there was no oncoming traffic.              However, the dreamer then became objective *from* a vehicle, that is, a vehicle       simply "came forth" from the dreamer's perspective, and that vehicle was a       rather *heavy* ambulance. (They're significantly heavier than a sedan or       compact car, for certain!)              There had been some sort of (crazy??) female (age teens to mid 20s, perhaps?)       lounging at the mouth of the ramp, possibly on the flat surface proper (floor       area) of the "parking garage," and was wearing shorts and a lady's T-shirt (the       type with short sleeves past the shoulders) and just acting as if her being       there was no problem whatsoever.              Well, due to how shape and flow of the downward spiral caused the ambulance to       travel in a straight line at the mouth, the ambulance had no choice than to       roll       over the female's legs. The dreamer had a slight moment of hope that the speed       of the ambulance might spare her any serious damage, but there was almost a       time-gravity well at the point where the back wheels rolled over her legs, and       one of them just *broke.* There *may* have been a cry of anguish, but if so,       it       was rather short and otherwise not even noticed.              Some *other* female comes to her aid, and I *think* the dreamer informs her to       be careful, as her leg was just broken, but the woman has this nonchalant       attitude of [It doesn't matter— see?] and begins wrangling the injured female's       broken leg like a water hose or limp spaghetti noodle.              The dreamer somehow contacts 9-1-1, and a female voice is heard asking, "What       is       the nature of your emergency?"              The dreamer explains that (he'd) just witnessed an accident, and begins       describing the location in terms of the buildings in the area. (And even in       the       dream itself, there was some lack of clarity as to the precise location of the       incident, as if the building names or block numbers were not quite understood.)              A moment or two goes by, and an ambulance shows up, and there's an effort to       locate the injured person, only she's gone somewhere, and the dreamer spots her       walking (with a flappy leg) nearby and somehow notifies the EMTs (emergency       medical technicians) of the person's location.              Yet when they appear, the female has become a small, curly-haired dog, similar       to a schnoodle or cocker-poo, and the dreamer is intent upon catching the       critter so as to see that it gets some proper first aid.              The dog is active enough to try to evade capture, yet the dreamer eventually       gets the dog and cradles it in the dreamer's arms (it was a small pooch) and       after a moment the critter stops shaking as the fear subsides. Clarity 9 for       the most part, as the outdoor travel section was a clear day scene.                     This counts as a "Father Dream" for obvious reasons, although I'm a tad       uncertain as to how to process it, so here goes:       Early this morning, shortly before (or nearly at) 6:30 AM, I (the dreamer) was       apparently in the process of planning for a trip.              In the process of this planning, the dreamer was collecting / gathering       together       a bit of cash, one particular bill being in the denomination of a $300.oo bill.       (I know, odd, right?)              While there was no exact count of the cash gathered, some action occurred       wherein my (late) mother (appearing as she might have during her 30s?) appeared       to be hiding something from the dreamer, who suspected she'd taken out some of       the dreamer's cash and squirreled it away somewhere. The dreamer actually       queried her, in a nearly accusatory manner, very close to:              "What do you mean by that? Have you taken some of my cash?"                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
