   Bigeneration - a sonnet   
      
   Where there had been only the one before,   
   When you look now you’ll see a second there.   
   The first has split in two to form one more.   
   The single has been turned into a pair.   
      
   The older one, a true fan favourite,   
   Has been joined by another who’s much newer.   
   The situation has no sense to it,   
   Confusion for many a faithful viewer.   
      
   One stretches back to nineteen sixty three,   
   Many a Doctor in many a tale.   
   The other was born from mavity,   
   A plot conceit that’s doomed to fail.   
      
   We’re left to wonder at the strange fate,   
   That made the Whoniverse bigenerate.
