From: bjarni@update.uu.se              I'm looking for a processor for a small embedded application. It needs       to be fast enough to decode MPEG/Ogg in realtime and simple to       interface. It should use as little power as possible, be programmable       with readily available tools, and preferably come with EPROM and RAM       built in. Even better if it comes with USB.              A PIC is too small, and a general-purpose processor like an old Pentium       probably too hard to interface and possibly also too power-hungry (?). I       looked at a couple of ARM processors, but they had only tiny internal       memories and no external memory busses (???). AVR seems right out.              What else is there?                     Bjarni       --               INFORMATION WANTS TO BE FREE              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
