|    Can't determine laptop polarity - HELP!    |
|    02 Jan 09 22:32:50    |
XPost: sci.electronics       From: myspam@csd.ca              I have a Gateway T-6815 laptop. The power brick was lost a while ago. I now       have a generic laptop power brick.              I cannot determine the polarity that the laptop needs? There is no tip/ring       diagram. All that it has is:        ____       19v ----- 3.42 A (thats a solid line over a dashed line)              So... does that tell me anything? Is it possible that the laptop doesn't       care about the polarity?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
