   One reason there hasn't been a massive exodus from California despite the   
   tax hikes is because the extra money floating around is causing the   
   economy to take off, and if taxes are up, well, profits are up even   
   more.   
      
   Even the business people who spout the 'trickle down' nonsense understand   
   that a consumer base with money is far better than a consumer base that   
   doesn't have money.
