You know, the way       that you're complaining about Obama?              I checked Google Groups for linuxgal mentioning debt, and       the earliest occurrence I found was for March 17, 2012.       Can you point to some examples of you complaining at the time?              I haven't put much effort into this, but it looks to       me as though Free Lunch has it exactly right.       You are only whining about the debt now that a       Democrat is in office. Am I wrong? Can you show that?              Beating the dead horse a little more, the pattern has been:       US debt goes up when we have wars and recessions/depressions,       and then it gets paid down again, until the next       war/recession/depression, EXCEPT FOR under recent "conservative"       Republican presidents, RWR, GHWB and GWB.              (David Stockman, Reagan's budget director, plainly called it       a Trojan horse designed to convince voters we *had to* cut       social programs. So, there should not be any surprise       to that.)              If you really care about US debt, and not just getting a       Republican into the Whitehouse, the solution is easy:       vote Democratic.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
