   No, they really don't.

"Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting
him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus
said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

That's why your church believes it's OK to work on Sunday and you
shouldn't be put to death for it.

And Paine is still right; the commandments that pertain to social
behaviour are common to ALL human societies, no matter what their beliefs.

This from a guy who tries to establish his religious authority by citing
a passage from the bible that mandates death for anyone working on the
sabbath. That includes heating your home, by the way.

BTW, do you make your wife sleep in the garage one week a month?
