   There have been several from the past that were used as an excuse to   
   extend empire successfully. Modern-day intervention with the idea of   
   allowing the country to survive intact after the civil war? Seems   
   absurd.   
      
   Could someone tell me what the Kurds have done that unite Turkey, Syria,   
   Iran and Iran against them?
