Can't answer my question, can you?

What a pathetic , hypocritical wimp you are, Bubkis.

So my question remains: What's so "progressive" about the Left?

   -----------------------------------------------------
So just what is so "progressive" about the Left? Seems to me their
ideology is aimed at one thing and one thing alone: increasing the
power of central government at the expense of personal liberty.
Everything they advocate has that as the motivation and greater
government control of our lives as the end.
So what is so progressive about that? Government control over
   people's
lives has been around for thousands of years. Escaping that sort of
control is why most of us, or our parents or our grandparents or
   great-
grandparents came here to get away from.
Why do "progressives" favor that sort of imperial control over
people's lives rather than letting people have the liberty for which
   this country was founded?
What sort of progress does the Left have in mind for us?
