   When the news broke on Monday afternoon, the President was in New York   
   attending a series of fund-raisers. Having earlier in the day made a   
   pretty good fist of handling questions on Benghazi and the I.R.S., he   
   may well have thought he’d fulfilled his scandal quotient for the day.   
   That’s not how things turned out. And as with the Benghazi and I.R.S.   
   sagas, this story still has a ways to run.
