   Anna Nicole Smith, the famous and sometimes infamous pop-culture icon   
   collapsed and was pronounced dead today (08 February 2007) in Florida while   
   staying at a hotel-casino - she was 39.   
      
   Ms. Smith was constantly in the media spotlight, particularly when she   
   married 89 year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II of Texas in 1994.  Mr.   
   Marshal died one year later in 1995 at the age of 90.  His estate, including   
   much of the assets of his company, Great Northern Oil Company, Inc., was   
   tied-up in a legal battle between Ms. Smith and Mr. Marshall's stepson, E.   
   Howard Marshall. All told, the estate assets had an estimated worth of over   
   $600 million US Dollars.
