From: e-mail.me@from.BRmovie.com              Standing in the dark, rainy shadows of a city alleyway, I spied the       Replicant synaptyx covertly transmitting a message to renegade friends       in alt.fan.blade-runner. Tracking...              >What have you lot been up to lately.              Fighting Demons.              >Me? I got canned. Made redundant. Laid off.              Yeah, well, shit happens. (No really, with the right frame of mind,       it absolutely doesn't matter in the story of your life - happens to       all the best people at some time.)              >But, what the hey, I hated it there anyways.              You were working for someone else? Well, then of course you hated it.              >Now! To start my own business... :)              Definitely something worthwhile attempting and perhaps seriously       succeeding at - or even just succeeding at enough to make a living       (without bowing to "The Man". Unless of course you become "The Man"       himself.) Umm... where was I? Oh yeah, word of wisdom from the wise       - get yourself a job that pays the rent and then start creating your       own business. The Internet is full of opportunity these days for       almost anything you are passionate about (and you really do need to be       passionate about whatever you want to create as your own business).       But if you don't have the money to pay the bills, the lead-time in       starting a business, or the second or third one, really screws an       awful lot of people with good ideas. Of course, if you are in fact       just joking, (though why), then good luck in finding your next career       move.              Netrunner       --       "Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect.       There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect       conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you       will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more       self-confident and more and more successful."        - Mark Victor Hansen              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
