   I tend to agree with Netrunner (so I won't call him racist on this one...   
   yet).   
      
   You could do a lot worse than check it out. It wasn't to everyone's liking,   
   but I thought it was rather good.   
      
   I was a big fan of the Tim Burton movies; the Joel Schumacher stuff however   
   was way too campy, and almost seemed to sink the franchise forever (pun   
   intended).   
      
   "Batman Begins" is in that respect a total reboot, starting over, going back   
   to the roots, and not just some standard Hollywood remake. No parody, no   
   tongue-in-cheek campiness, but instead a story that takes its origins   
   serious.   
      
   As for why they keep churning out Batman movies and series? Well, Batman is   
   a modern icon. You don't just give up on an icon.
