From: e-mail.me@from.BRmovie.com              Standing in the dark, rainy shadows of a city alleyway, I spied the       Replicant Terry covertly transmitting a message to renegade friends in       alt.fan.blade-runner. Tracking...              >So, I was at the Spice Girls concert tonight. (Yeah, go ahead. I don't care,       >I had fun!)              OMG! Was it because you lost a bet? Or a child dragged you along?       Or you were forced there by gunpoint? It surely couldn't have been       voluntary...?              > And before one of the songs, they kept looping a phrase. I       >actually sat down for a second. Which phrase looped for the costume change?       >       >"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have       >burned so very, very brightly."       >       >Yep.              No way! I wonder if any of them have any idea what movie that comes       from or what it means...              >At a Spice Girls concert.              You said. Ooooohhhh...              >(Incidentally, Posh sang, like, three little solo bits. I didn't know they       >lt her do that!)              Posh "sang". Hah! No. She can't sing. Not a matter of opinion       here, she really can't sing. But they do wonderful things these days       with sound in pop music. They can make absolutely anybody sound half       decent. Oh and she really isn't posh either. I saw an article on TV       that intimated she actually was from a posh background. Fuck no. She       is as common a little tart as anyone.              You went to a Spice "Girls" concert ... how ridiculous!              [BTW, if you want to find out any more about them, I have a couple of       Webrings linking sites about them if you're interested....]              Netrunner       (Never to be taken for granted...)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
