   No, you have to get the patch yourself. That "autopatch" thing when it   
   installes is actually an anti-piracy device. What it does IIRC is it   
   installs a file you need to actually run the game. What's on the disc   
   doesn't run without that.   
      
   Not sure what's the best place to get it, but I'm sure you know some places   
   to download it from. I myself have this thing called Gameshadow installed,   
   that looks for installed games & graphics drivers on your system, and checks   
   if there are any updates out. It then allows you to download the patch from   
   their server. Pretty handy if you play games a lot.
