I can grudgingly accept that style for Bourse, but it's just so wrong
for Batman - at least not in anything other than small doses.

I'm just so fucking sick of directors forgetting how to shoot action.
Transformers had the same problem - cuts too quick, camera too close,
and camera shaking. These techniques are all fine on their own and in
small doses, but for God's sake, give me some nice, long, sweeping wide
shots when something cool is happenning. Don't just imply it with a 8
frame close-up of someone's left knee.

That's why I loved Children of Men - amazing action in a seamless 9
minute shot, and many other shots of several minutes length too, and
lots of handheld camerawork while still being completely follow-able.

I hope Christopher Nolan's learned his lesson but I'm not sure if he
even believes there's anything wrong with his style.

Also, his favourite film is Blade Runner, and it was apparently a huge
inspiration for Batman Begins, but apart from some of the sets I just
don't see it. I WISH that film felt more like BR.
