       At this particular cocktail party, I'm the tag-along "and a guest" of   
   someone who was invited by name.  I read, and did not particularly like, the   
   first Hitchhiker book (didn't like the movie much either).   
      
       So I'll be off nursing my Singapore Sling in the library, looking for   
   something, anything written by Asimov, Clarke, Gibson or Damon Knight.
