Some people are just asking for it. :-/              You'd think once bitten twice shy, but I'm having this same problem at work       as well, with an IT Contractor who doesn't take backup seriously enough,       which is somewhat ironic.              I think in this situation you have to set something up, perhaps a relatively       cheap external drive, which backs up regularly and transparently. Although       you're still reliant on the person to check they haven't unplugged it, or       something.
